1 The efficacy of dicobalt edetate (Kelocyanor) was compared against that of 4-dimethylaminophenol (DMAP) in experimental cyanide poisoning.

2 DMAP gave better survival.

3 The efficacy has been related to the toxicity of the two compounds.
