Analytical Chemistry Section, Industrial Toxicology Research Center, Lucknow 226001, Uttar Pradesh, India Male rats were given 50 mg/kg molybdenum (Mo; as sodium molybdate) in drinking water for eight consecutive doses. The feeding of Mo was associated with an increased concentration of Mo in body tissues. The highest concentrations of metal were found in the kidney while it was least in blood cells. The accumulation was considered to be significant.
