A Case of Methylene Chloride (Nitromors) Poisoning, Effects on Carboxyhaemogiobin LevelsAnaesthesia and Intensive Care, Beaumont Hospital, Beaumont Road, Dublin 9, Ireland
Poisons Information Centre, Beaumont Hospital, Beaumont Road, Dublin 9, Ireland The literature contains only one report of methylene chloride poisoning after ingestion.1 Unfortunately carboxyhaemoglobin (COHb) levels were not obtained in this case. We now describe a fatal case where a similar amount of the solvent was ingested and after which toxicology screening was done.
